A Few Items from the List
These are the items parents tell us changed how they show up in the room.
- ✓Request evaluation reports and progress notes at least 5 days before the meeting
- ✓Prepare a written Parent Concern Statement to submit before the meeting
- ✓Ask: "What does a GOOD day look like for my child?" — this anchors the whole plan
- ✓Bring a support person who can take notes while you talk
- ✓Never sign the IEP at the first meeting — always ask for time to review
